​SIGNS FOR CHANGE
A project with Penduka in Namibia

Working with a unique organization in Namibia, I empowered the women to uncover key areas for Penduka to focus on in their hospitality department. Penduka is an organisation that employs women to make crafts, sell crafts, and run a tourism experience with food and accommodation. I designed a series of workshops to show the women how their experience is expertise. The women participated in role-play and design workshops to co-create improvements for their organisation. We first researched internally to identify different personas of visitors. Each of the women then played the role of one of the personas, and I guided them to identify areas of opportunity. Their central solution was to create new signage, which they conceptualised and I visualised for them.
