AN EMPATHIC ADVENTURE *you can read more about this project in my book MOVING STORIES. CRISP, or Creative Industry Research Programme is a 4-year national research programme which seeks identify the strategic role of designers within multi-stakeholder projects. One such project is Grey but Mobile whose aim is to offer new mobility product service systems, PSS, that address elderly needs will contribute positively to the physical and social-wellbeing of our ageing society. My research focus in particular is getting to know the mobility needs and wishes of elderly people, and creating new ways to tell their stories to the professionals that work for them; as well as to design the tools, methods and strategies they can use to leverage their knowledge and skills and find new opportunities. One such means of storytelling is An Empathic Adventure. An Empathic Adventure is a tool that offers an empathic understanding of what elderly people are experiencing - adapted to each unique story we have heard. It is a mixture of physical restraints, an audio track with thoughts and tasks, and a destination which together simulates the real story of an elderly person. Back to PROJECTS
